TON × PMI — Building Connections, Exploring Purpose, Engaging Together

A large, mixed-function group and one objective: make people who rarely work together actually know each other.

The brief

PMI asked for a programme framed around three words — connection, purpose, engagement — for a group large enough that a single shared activity would have collapsed under its own logistics.

What TON did

We ran parallel activity tracks on a rotating schedule so every participant experienced each block in a different mix of colleagues, then converged the whole group for a single closing session.

Each track carried a light reflective prompt, so the day produced conversation rather than just photographs.

The outcome

The rotation model is now our standard approach for groups over 60, and it is the format we recommend whenever the objective is cross-functional familiarity rather than a single spectacle moment.
